NYBFW S/S ‘24 UPCOMING TRENDS

With New York Bridal Fashion Week (NYBFW) sneaking up on us again and our gorg April picks finally starting to arrive in-studio, we figured it’s about time to start introducing our 2024 brides to some of the upcoming bridal trends…

Fun new silhouettes

Classic silhouettes are classic for a reason, but we love something a little different over here at Bloom so when we saw Danielle Frankel’s mermaid moment, we all swooned just a little bit! She’s actually a bustier and a skirt (but can be made into a gown) and we can not tell you how excited we are for her arrival late this year.

Another surprise hit was the column dress - less of a popular choice when we polled you guys on our instagram - but I’m digging the no train moment. So unexpected for bridal! My personal fave was Varca’s Abilene - just love love love.

Raised hemlines

Long live the after party bridal mini! But have you considered tea length for your ceremony? Formal vibes with a difference! Our fave? The Georgia skirt from DF, yet another separate that can be a gown. I know you’ve all seen Georgia Fowler rock the Georgia + Anika combo in her wedding earlier this year and the slightly raised ankle length hem makes her vintage inspired look so modern.

Separates

Speaking of all these separates, it should be zero surprise that separates are coming through in a major way. From being able to change up your look on the day without needing a second dress to having a keepsake to wear each year for your every anniversary, the Bloom gals are absolutely loving a separate.

From Newhite’s overskirts and sleeves to Danielle Frankel’s corsets to Vivienne Westwood’s two piece ball gown, we can mix and match for any dress code. On a personal note, no one judge me when I inevitably purchase a corset for myself and wear it to work every day…

Detachable elements

Always a showstopper in the Bloom studio, but our designers have really kicked it up a notch. Hats, gloves, capes, skirts, sleeves… big ol bows?! You can truly have it all. Our fabulous pals at Varca have done a little bit of everything. A face veil… yes absolutely thank you very much.

Neck ties

As a very specific honorable mention, bridal is about to see neck ties absolutely everywhere. Newhite has added them to their stunning liquid satin range with new beauty Palm and our recent trunk show with Blanc Wear gave us beautiful Pia, who seemed to be a firm favourite with our 2024 brides!

Can’t wait to tell you all about our picks from this October’s NYBFW, Sam will be there in NY meeting with our designers (and potentially a few new ones…) to view their latest collections. She’ll be posting all about it on the gram so if you see anything that Bloom absolutely needs, reach out and let us know.

Don’t forget to subscribe to our newsletter either, we share all the juicy goss first over there!
