REAL BLOOM BRIDE: HOLLY

Welcome to the first of our real Bloom bride blogs! We get to hear about all of your beautiful weddings and the big and little details that go into making them so wonderful and we felt like it’s about time we started sharing!

We absolutely had to start with Holly and Sam. With a majority of our brides having to stay within Australia since Bloom opened, Holly was one of our first brides to have a destination wedding and they absolutely went all out.

Read on to see and hear about the beautiful venue they chose, all the fun they had and of course, our personal favourite part… all about her stunning gown!

THE PROPOSAL:

After a chill morning on the beach and a much less chill climb of some of those hectic Amalfi Coast stairs back to their hotel, Sam proposed to Holly as soon as they walked in the door with an oval diamond flanked by two kite diamonds from Hogans Family Jewellers in Toowoomba.

Only two months later, their beautiful Italian venue had been booked and the 12-month countdown to the wedding was on!

THE VENUE:

Brides looking at having a Tuscany wedding… google this place immediately! Il Casale Del Marchese is beyond stunning. From what Holly said, their venue wedding coordinator takes care of absolutely everything. What more could you ask for when planning a Tuscany wedding from Australia?

THE VIBES:

Good champagne and good music! Their venue can house around 20 people so the newlyweds had their close friends and fam stay with them for the few days surrounding the wedding with the remainder of their guests staying nearby.

The overall feel was for their wedding to be intimate, relaxed and fun and just let Tuscany take care of the rest. It was important to them to have a few moments to themselves amidst the craziness that is your wedding day but to also be able to have fun with all their favourite people.

Holly was very stoked to report back that they achieved it all!

THE DRESS SEARCH:

We first met Holly when she came in for her friend (and fellow Bloom bride!) Emily’s initial appointment. Clearly she was a huge fan of us because she booked her own appointment only a week later!

Holly said she was initially daunted by the idea of searching for her wedding gown and was considering just ordering something online. But from the moment she walked into Bloom with Emily, she started to love the idea of the whole process and knew she’d be back to find her own gown.

When Holly popped in to see us for her own appointment, the brief was a gown that was modern and fun. Holly chose her first round of gowns that she was keen to try before allowing our stylist Alicia to throw her some wild cards.

Sometimes we can just look at people and know what they’re going to love - and that was exactly the case here. As soon as Holly walked in and explained what she wanted for her wedding, Alicia had a gown in mind that she thought could be perfect for her (and she was right, which is literally her favourite thing to be).

Holly said as soon as she put on Alicia’s choice, she knew she had found the gown she would get married in.

THE GOWN:

Holly’s gown is the Asar Rosa halter top and Thea skirt in sandwashed silk.

Holly wanted something non-traditional with a fun twist and she loved the idea of separates and showing a cheeky bit of skin. The thought of being able to wear her halter top for wedding anniversaries in the years to come was a huge bonus! Honestly if she’s ever feeling extra then the Bloom girls fully support her wearing that beautiful silk skirt out and about too!

To bring some more fun, Holly wore the most stunning Cult Gaia white mules with silver disco ball details! One more special shout out to Emily for lending Holly her silk minimal veil from Kait Grace for Bloom to complete her look. Emily had worn the same veil at her wedding just a few months prior!

AN ABOVE AND BEYOND VENDOR WAS:

Their photographer, Alex Wysocki. Just look at these gorg photos and you can see the love that Alex put into them!

Holly said she had researched Alex extensively and could see how amazing she was from her past work. On the day, she was a calming but fun presence and managed to capture all the natural moments and little details that Holly and Sam will be able to look back on forever.

Holly also wanted to shout out her hair and makeup artist By Ariana Lily and their local Tuscan florist L’Oasi Floral Designer for their stunning contributions to their day.
